Your Personal Wine Host (or Wine Director for our Pinnacle tier) will arrive fully equipped with professional-grade glassware, custom tasting mats, printed literature, and full setup and cleanup included.

We also provide meticulously selected gourmet food pairings—ranging from artisanal charcuterie and local cheeses to bespoke multi-course menus prepared by our partnered private chef—designed to complement your tasting journey perfectly.

While you will certainly pick up practical tips and fascinating facts, the evening is designed to be a relaxed, social, and memorable celebration. To keep things spirited and engaging, we weave a lively, bespoke Trivia Challenge with a prize into the session, introducing some fun, light-hearted competition to the night.

We believe food and wine should elevate one another, rather than compete. For our standard private tastings, we hand-select exceptional regional pairings—such as luxury artisan cheeses and charcuterie—designed to make the wines sing.

However, for our high-end, multi-course paired dining experiences with a private chef, we introduce our signature "Two Lenses" philosophy. Instead of the traditional "one dish, one wine" rule, we pour two contrasting or complementary styles of wine alongside a single dish.

Because every private tasting is entirely tailored to your group, we seamlessly adapt the gourmet food pairings...s to accommodate any specific allergies, intolerances, or dietary preferences within your group.

Please just let us know your requirements at least 14 days in advance of your event so we can prepare a seamless menu.

To secure your chosen date, a 50% deposit is payable immediately upon receipt of your invoice.
Please note that dates cannot be held or confirmed in our diary until this deposit has cleared. The remaining balance is then due 14 days prior to your experience.

Bookings are refundable (minus a £50 administration fee) up to 14 days before the event. Between 7 and 14 days prior, we offer flexible options to transfer the booking to an alternative date wherever possible.

Absolutely. For your complete peace of mind, Colby Wines is a professionally registered, fully licensed hospitality provider.

We carry £5,000,000 in comprehensive Public and Product Liability insurance and operate under a strict personal alcohol licence. This covers all of our bespoke wine tastings, special occasion celebrations, and curated culinary accompaniments in the comfort of your own residence or at your chosen venue.

For collaborative culinary events, we work exclusively with fully insured private chefs. We are delighted to provide our insurance certification and licensing details directly to your venue coordinator or party planner upon request.
